Our Inspiration

Serenity Container Homes was inspired by countless YouTube videos and the growing global movement toward sustainable, affordable, and creative housing solutions.

Sustainable Design

By repurposing shipping containers, we reduce waste and give new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. Each container home saves approximately 3,500kg of steel.

Modern Living

Our designs embrace the principles of modern minimalism while ensuring all the comforts of traditional homes. We believe smaller spaces encourage more meaningful living.

The Journey Behind Serenity

The idea for Serenity Container Homes was born after binge-watching countless YouTube videos about alternative housing solutions. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a passion project.

Inspired by channels showcasing ingenious container conversions around the world, we began our own journey in Kitengela, Kenya, determined to bring this innovative housing concept to our local community.

We studied various techniques for insulation, ventilation, and interior design specifically for metal containers. Through trial and error, we developed our own approach that is perfectly suited to the Kenyan climate and lifestyle.
